As a Los Angeles native, Nicole was born and raised right here in the San Fernando Valley. When her kindergarten teacher asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, at the mature age of a whole 5 years old she answered, “to be a Veterinarian”. As she grew, she stayed true to that dream. She started attaining knowledge of the different dog breeds by studying dog shows and literature. Once old enough, she jumped to the chance to volunteer at “Ride On” leading horses for disabled children, a pet rescue and a vet clinic. She volunteered at this clinic for a year before they gave her her first Vet Assistant job. She went on to attended Pierce and Moorpark College while developing a stronger passion for Exotics, elevated treatments, leading fellow technicians, assisting in surgery and the importance of providing a cat friendly environment we call “fear-free”.
Nicole joined Paws & Claws back in 2020 after working for an emergency and specialty hospital. She brings with her, knowledge and experience that goes unsurpassed and compassion with complete dedication that radiates through her attention to detail with every patient she assists. She is indeed on track to fulfill that dream of becoming a DVM with her dedication toward practicing the highest quality of medicine with the kindest heart.
She has two brothers she loves to go on adventure with by trying new foods, 8 reptiles and 1 miniature schnauzer she lovingly named “Vanellope Von Schweete”…Reck It Ralph, anyone?
In her free time she loves to build her reptiles custom enclosures to spoil them however she can. She is also a Scuba diver, she can play the violin, she can paint and is a huge gamer! She is a true Gem and we are proud to have her as one of our team leaders.
